Welcome to the Northern Cross

WELCOME to the Northern Cross, the independent newspaper for people of the Christian faith in North East England, in particular the Catholic Diocese of Hexham & Newcastle.

The Cross, launched in January 1956, is published on the weekend of the first Sunday of the month and is sold in more than 150 parishes across the region.

This website provides digital copies of every issue of the Northern Cross, page by page, since the website's launch in October 2014.
