DURING Bishop Séamus’ presentation a timetable emerged for the next moves in the framework for the diocesan plan:

August 2014: advert placed for a Diocesan Development Officer.

September 29: interviews for Diocesan Development Officer

October 2014: Diocesan Development Officer starts work.

October 2014: Bishop Séamus meets Deans with pastoral plan on agenda.

Oct-Dec: Day of Reflection & Prayer for all priests and lay people in Diocese.

November: Bishop Séamus to officially launch the development project.

November 6: Bishop Séamus meets Council of Priests, with some of the planned documentation available to guide the process.

November 8: same documentation available for Council of the Laity. 

Mid-November: Bishop Séamus Pastoral letter about Diocesan Pastoral Plan to be read in every parish in the diocese. 

Oct 2014-2015: first phase plan – preparation.

January 2015: specific profile for every parish community in the diocese and comprehensive statement of statistics from Curia and Diocesan Office.

Sept 2015-2016: second phase – a time of study and reflection.

Sept 2016-Sept 2017: third phase – a time of analysis and implementation.
